2002 YO Jeep Jamboree
Mountain Home, Texas
May 1st, 2nd, & 3rd, 2002
Day 1 – Turned out to be a beautiful day. 75 degrees and clear as a bell.
Time to leave camp for breakfast at the Chuck Wagon.
Before the first trail ride, I tease Kerry about going to need the strap. Boy was I wrong!
Kerry, Oscar(Ray senior), Todd, and Ray await the F16 flyover so the event can begin.
Our group was rich in daily drivers, but they did great.
Kerry’s Liberty going down, no problem.
Going up, no problem, enough said.
This CJ5, name Wile E. Coyote, had to get winched back up the hill by Barry.
Tanner gives them the Michael Jordan tongue wag, and says “your not coming up HERE without lockers!”
Ray, and the trail leader D.J., talk about….rocks, I guess.
Barry uses his winch to extract rock A from Jeep B.
They call it the playground because you play....
Barry plants a row of corn right next to the one Todd planted.
Kerry makes short work of this long climb.
Ray drops of this hill with no brakes. Just a little help from his Atlas II.
Day 2 – Cold and windy.
This line was about 6 inches in water last year.
Tanner gets up close and personal with the locals.
This guy was checking out his week-old lockers, gears, and 35” MTRs.(they did fine)
Riley and Todd are having fun.
