2004 Superlift Event, Superlift Park
Hot Springs, Arkansas
October 15th, 2004
Tanner, Blaine, Clay, Jay, Hunter, Vince, Tracy, Gordon
The Red Rocker takes a left to attempt the first 5 diamond run.
This Rubicon with THIRTY SEVENS makes it look easy..but cut a tire.
Jay doesn’t let open diffs stop him on this long, loose, uphill.
This is Clays first 4X event and no worries.
Greg, and the Monroe, La. gang, have lunch while his new V8 cools.
Our next generation of 4 wheelers take notes.
I am lovin the newly installed front roll cage........Thanks for you help Tom!
The Superlift TV guy catches me in action. Watch the Outdoor Channel in early 2005.
Jay follows a couple of Samaris down one of the many scenic trails.
I think I remember this trail from last year.....
Bryan and Dora, from Springfield, Mo, tests out the newly acquired CJ7.
Tim shows us a Samari will do the trick.
Jay finesses ole Blue up the same hill.
This Samari had to winch out of these deep trenches.
Jay throws the coals to the open diff TJ and powers through the deep trenches.
I let Tracy drive the Red Rocker and he learns what a REV limiter is for.
This long loose downhill was interesting.
Day two, we line up in a 3-4 group to make it more interesting.
This guy broke a pitman arm but had the backup part installed in minutes.
Chris, Ray, and Bryan make their way up this rocky climb.
Vince makes sure Chris doesn't cut a sidewall.
Chris and Tracy disagree on how BIG the rocks were.
Judi gets a birds eye of exactly HOW BIG the rocks were.
My steering shock gets an even BETTER look at how big the rocks were.
This totally tricked TJ still couldn't overcome the slick rocks.
So we got out the "Arkansas Winch".
Notice the shiny slick rocks under the TJ.
Chris lines up and shows them how it is done.
Greg heads up the same hill in his V8 CJ7.
This trail is where the Ultimate Challenge was filmed.
As I stood and took photos, I looked down and was reminded WHY we tread lightly.
The 3 Musketeers from Leander line up for more abuse.
Judi keeps Tanner entertained while we take a break.
Jay bends his drag link and adds some "Toe In".
This full size Chevy truck went everywhere.....and dented every corner.
A Toyota Land Cruiser gets in on the fun.
A totally SICK TJ walks over the extreme terrain.
Chris takes a photo op at some crushed cars.
Then Bryan says "I will show you how it is done!"
We make our way back to show Chris a 5 diamond....and he does it with ease.
Some of the awesome Hot Springs scenery.
Trent, the current Superlift TV host, stops for a pic with Tanner, the future Superlift TV host.
