2003 Superlift Event, Superlift Park

Hot Springs, Arkansas

October 17th, 2003

Friday morning, we line up for the Buckhorn trail, the Red Rocker in the on deck circle.

Tanner and Conner are ready to do some climbing.

This CJ7 makes it’s way through the awesome landscape.

Our trail leader leads us up the mountain.

This couple from Nashville prepare for a climb.

But, a stump stopped their progress.

Not to worry, another team member is there for a tug.

This stock Rubicon cruises up the hill.

We cross paths with the extreme group and get a bird’s eye view of the action.

This TJ from Houston knew his way around the mountain.

Can you find the trail leader in this picture?

The Red Rocker takes a breather on some easy stuff.

Tanner and Conner check out the beautiful scenery.

Tanner with Hot Springs in the background.

Tanner shows me some of the brilliant fall foliage.

Opps, this sharp CJ7 pops a front hub. It took some hammer action to get the wheel free.

Tanner leads the group up the hill.

Back at headquarters, “Conner, PUT THAT JEEP BACK”.

The boys still had energy so they get put to work on the Superlift grounds.

Day two, mid-40’s, so we gather at the firepit.

On the trail, we immediately have a stall on a big hill.

It took a Rubicon AND the Red Rocker to get him up the hill.

Yep, that 4 banger had power to spare!!!

This picture shows WHY I chose the same team on day 2, TEAMWORK!!

A quick yank from the snatch strap and this YJ is free of the stump.

This Samari was unstoppable on the mountain.

This sharp Rubicon makes it’s way up the trail.

Little did this Bronco know, in only a few minutes, it would blow out a front U-joint.

Man, Steve, it is quiet for some reason???

Open diffs on this Tacoma were it’s only limitation.

The toughest climb of the weekend really tested the Red Rocker.

But, after I aired down and drew a bead on mega-stump, I made it up the hill.

There were fallen trees to cross……

And duck under.

A couple  times.

Steve shows the Arkansas boys how we change flats in Texas.

This Tacoma would have the last laugh when he wins the WINCH at the raffle.

Steve takes the wheel and catches on quickly. (do I see a Jeep in his future?)
