Final Event, Katemcy Rocks

Katemcy, Texas

June 12th thru 14th, 2009

We are headed up for Saturday only, so we caravan from 183a and 1431.

Kelsey brings "Rubi" out for the final run at Katemcy.

It was hot so Elvis brought some shade.

I good driver and a Rubicon work well on the granite.

The Schlottman boyz are right at home on the "Aggie Highway".

It was a near flop for this FJ that missed the exit ramp on Aggie Highway.

Let’s see, we have the kiddos, we have every sticker, and every FJ accessory....we are good.

Super Dave leads us down the CORRECT exit ramp for Aggie Highway.

Dan and Jeff follow Dave's lead.

Dave did not enlist his super charger for this crack crossing.

Todd tries the same crossing with 32s and firmly plants his spring perch on the granite.

A tad down the trail we realize just HOW firm he planted it.

It is HOT, so we head back to headquarters for some repairs, and some shade.

Barry and Todd finesse the perch back into its correct location.

Then, for a very reasonable fee, the local welder will nail it back on for you.

Shelby, Kim, Kelsey, Kaylee, Glenda, Dave, Jared, Riley, and Tanner also are digging the shade.

Shade was at a premium on that day. Todd's break was well timed.

Well, off to Cotton Bales trail, Kelsey keeps a close eye on her (Dad) spotter.

Kelsey takes Rubi off the V with ease and finesse. Good Job!

Jeff, who hails from Lakeway, has his Rubicon in top form.

Barry and the twins are right at home in 4-low.

Barry lends a hand to this Toyota when his tranny gets starved for fluid.

Michelle sits in the back.... so her husband can better hear her instructions.

Kaylee takes the wheel and makes the climb look easy.

After making the climb look HARD, Todd moves over and takes the easy line.

Tanner seems to like wheeling in big sis's Jeep.....must be the A/C.

Super Dave and Super Glenda pose for a shot.....also, in the A/C. Did I mention it was hot?

More posing, more A/C. And YES, it is hot out here!!!!

By the end of the day, Kelsey and Rubi were a fearless pair.

Michelle has some fun with Jeff as they pose (without A/C).

Before we call it a day, the group poses for a picture. What a great day!

Thanks to all for a great last run at Katemcy.

Pictured left to right, Tanner, Riley, Dave, Jared, Jeff, Michelle, Dan, Gordon, Caleb, Todd, Kelsey, Kim, Barry, Kaylee, and Shelby.
