SWFWDA Fall Quarterly 2005

Clayton, Oklahoma

Oct. 14th – 16th,  2005

We get to the Clayton Country Inn and set up camp.

Then off to the trails. Man is this pretty country.

Kenny quickly plants his Samurai on a large rock.

The scenery made you forget about all the boulders.

While trying to winch me back up off a stump, a tree snaps.

uuuuh, is that drag link a little bowed?

Out tail-gunner maneuvers around the rocks.

Oooops, missed one.

Meanwhile Kenny trashes a U-joint on his Sami.

Will 2WD work?

Nope, get the winch.

We passed this nice rock rig on the trail. There were many of these in Clayton.

Day two we line up for more trail rides.

Cody and Tanner spot a Scorpion that competed in a past top truck challenge.

Hey, did he leave the keys in it?????

We line up for the scenic tour.

We take the street queens through the first obstacle.

And boy is it scenic.

Bruce and the boys pose after we have lunch at an area dotted with caves.

Back at camp I spot my NEXT tow rig. That Scorpion drives right in the back of this thing.

Saturday evening after a BBQ dinner, the boys scope jeeps while waiting for the raffle.

A special thanks to Kenny for the great chicken and dumplings and to Rob at the Clayton Country Inn for all the hospitality.
